Dear Baking Diary . . .

"Oh, let us eat cake! . . . that's what Napoplean ordered long before I was born. . . "

". . . I wondered why bananas go into a loaf of bread . . . then I was told, bananas are much better than grains. . . "

". . . those rich dark sugar canes from Mauritius must be used! well, all sugars are just not the same! . . "

". . . sugar and spice and perhaps all things nice . . ."

". . . she gazed over the cupcakes, with sugar crafted roses on them and she chose carefully, the one with a purple rose . . . "

". . . in an autumn morn, they woke to the sweet scones, those British quick breads . . . "

". . . the crisp air that blew from across the street, brought a "velvety rich aroma of that moist cake drizzled in syrup . . ."

". . . she could never forget the scent of those vanilla pods brought back from Madagascar . . . "
